Product Rating: Product Review (submitted on April 16, 2011):These are great trees for central Texas. I have planted many over the last several years. Once they get 4-5 foot tall, they are quite drought tolerant and withstand heat and cold. I've never lost a larger tree, although replants might be needed until they are well established. As an aromatic tree, they smell nice and termites don't like them.
Put a sprinkler in a big one on a hot day, and it's like a natural cooling tower, with the needles breaking up the falling water spray and cooling the air to near the wet bulb temperature. They smell great. Get right in there with the tree and cool off on a hot day ! No joke.
